I seem to have purchased quite a lot of make up over the past 6 weeks or so, (thank god it was not all in one purchase!), so I thought I would share with you in one post the products I have been purchasing and loving lately!
After my Benefit They’re Real liner ran out I thought I would try out something new and came across this MAC Gel liner. I don’t normally use a liner with a brush but after using this for a couple of weeks I think I will continue, for a little while anyway!
I have found I am able to get a more precise flick and can control the spread of liner a lot more.
As the product suggests this is a gel liner in black which I have found to be super long wearing, although I have noticed it can flake slightly.
I am absolutely obsessed with this product!
We have all heard about strobing over the past couple of weeks and I have found this is the perfect product to create a beautifully understated strobe look.
As this does not put any colour on to the face I have been able to maintain a really gentle dewy look but by building up this product I have also been able to create a highly strobed look.
The Balm Nude’tude Palette
Apparently I needed just one more smoky palette in my life and when I found I had a few Birchbox points on my account I thought I would treat myself to The Balms Nude’tude.
I have seen this palette used a lot on YouTube and I have tried to emulate some of the looks.
Although I love the colours in this palette I have noticed there is a lot of fallout on my cheeks when trying to complete a smoky eye look, the first time I used this my boyfriend thought I had a black eye it was that bad!
Although the fallout does ruin this product for me slightly the colours are perfect, I especially love the colour ‘Sexy’ which is a deep burgundy which is not a colour I would normally used but I have actually been reaching for this colour more and more.
Although this is a blusher by MAC I have actually been using this as a contour powder to give myself a real subtle contour that I am wearing nearly every day.
By applying this just under my cheekbones I have been able to create a slight shadow to give myself more of a cheek bone than I do have.
This is so light it can be worn daily without looking like you have applied too much make up for your average day at work.
I have been pairing this with the Mary-Lou Manizer to really highlight and contour but not too obviously.
I have to admit I have not used many of the Bobbie Brown products so when I was walking around the The Make Up Outlet store in Southampton I thought I would give this blush a try.
The main thing that did attract me to this blush over the others was the cool blue undertone, although you can’t see it in the picture!
I have a cooler skin tone and I find any blush with the bluish undertone makes my blush look more like a healthy glow rather than rosey red cheeks.
There is something about Estee Lauder products that I feel makes them really luxurious, it may be the beautiful packaging or just how amazing I find the products.
This was another of my bargain finds from the The Make Up Outlet, I have again been using this daily to set my foundation.
I went for the lightest colour I could as there was no translucent powders but I haven’t noticed this powder changing the colour of my foundation at all.
Although this is a lot of make up, I may have bought a few other products that are not pictured including a Mac Lip Liner and Lipstick in Soar and Brave as my nude lip is taking a darker shade than normal for the autumn months. Keep your eye on my instagram for some bolder, darker looks that will be appearing very soon!
Another product I am absolutely obsessed with and repurchased already is the Urban Decay Brow Beater, it makes my eyebrows look so full and shaped whilst also looking really natural.
Have you tried any of these products? Which is your favourite?
