June Birchbox with French Sole

If there was an award for bad bloggers, I would be certainly in the running to win this month!
Last month I splashed out on some different outfits and beauty products so I could post every other day but as luck would have it I just haven’t physically had the time to put together any posts that I feel would be worthy of sharing!
Hopefully, this will be the first of a lot more I am raring to post over the next few weeks.

This months Birchbox was so bright and beautiful and it reminded me how much I love having fresh flowers around, which means our bedroom currently smells like a florist!
The box itself, which I got to pick the design of, was absolutely beautiful and I loved the products inside too.
This is probably the third or fourth Cowshed product I have received now but it is not something I am disappointed about as I do really love the products.
This body lotion fits in perfectly with the theme of the box as it has such a lovely floral blend and is packed full of essential oils from different flowers.
These include Rose, Lavender and one of my favourite essential oils Ylang Ylang.
This body lotion also came in handy after I decided it would be a good idea to sit out in the sun for around an hour or so, which is apparently more than my fair skin could take and I managed to get pretty burnt.
This lotion nursed my lobster red skin back to health…and also made me smell pretty nice at the same time!
I am not really too sure what to say about this product as I don’t really like using products with grains in as I think I’ve washed them all off and then end up with a grain in my eye…which is exactly what I did with this!
I don’t have anything bad to say about this scrub but it just did not blow me away and I am glad it is a smaller sized sample as I feel that it would of been wasted if it was any bigger.
There is not too much of a scent to this product which I prefer and I found my skin to feel quite soft after use although it did slightly irritate my cheeks.
That being said I don’t know if scratching my eye with an olive granule is what has put me off using this again!
I have previously heard of HIP but I can’t remember if I have tried any products before, however I love, love, love this shampoo, I just wish there was more of it in the sample!
This is a ultra shine shampoo which has worked wonders on my hair.
After 3 years of solid bleaching, toning and colouring I have decided to stop dying my hair crazy colours, (have to start the mortgage fund somehow), and I have found my blonde hair seemed to be quite dull after the grey had faded.
It turns out this shampoo was all I needed, after the first use my hair seemed to be looking a little bit better and by the third wash it just seems a lot more shiny and healthy looking.
I also love using this shampoo as it has eucalyptus and peppermint oil which makes your head tingle and feel so refreshed.
This is going to be a definite repurchase and I may even treat myself to a few more products…just to review for you, obviously!
I actually received 2 packs of metallic tattoos this month, one with Birchbox and the other with the Glossybox Festival Edit and sadly I have not had a chance to try them yet. I just don’t think I need to be wearing them into the office.
I am dying to go to an event where I can wear them and not look like I am trying to turn my office into a festival and I am sure as soon as I have them on they will as if by magic appear on Instagram.
I find it really difficult to write about perfumes so I hope this does this eau de parfum justice.
I am quite particular with the perfumes I wear and after reading the scents that had been mixed into this perfume I was unsure as this sounded like more of a muskier smell that the light, floral fragrances I would normally wear.
I was wrong.
I really like this perfume, although it is slightly stronger than what I wear day to day, but I can definitely see myself wearing this as an evening or special occasion perfume.
The scents mixed to make this include Sandalwood and Vanilla, the Sandalwood is what gives it a more musky smell but I find the Vanilla sweetens it up so it is not over powering.
I would love to repurchase this but it is rather expensive and as it would only be occasional wear I can’t bring myself to spend as much as it is.

Cynthia Rowley Lip Stain in Poppy
OK, so most people know who Cynthia Rowley is, I follow her on Instagram but I have never tried any of the beauty products.
This is the first one and I was very lucky to find I received a shade that suits my skin tone as I normally struggle with pinks and reds.
This is a perfect shade that is kind of pink mixed with a little bit of coral that seems to stay on my lips for a lot longer than any of the other stains I have tried before.
To be honest, I wouldn’t of expected less from the brand and now I know I can wear it I will be buying another one of these stains in this perfect colour.

Overall, if you hadn’t already of guessed, I adored this months box.
Over the past couple of months my confidence in Birchbox has grown as 6 months ago I very nearly cancelled my subscription.

From the Cowshed Lotion to the HIP Shampoo I have enjoyed the brand selection and trying the products I have been sent.

Which box did you receive from Birchbox this month? What did you think of the products?
